This guide walks new and existing drivers through logging into, navigating, and using the Cartwheel delivery app for managing orders and deliveries effectively.


🔐 Logging In

Before using Cartwheel, obtain your Company name, Username, and Password from your administrator.

  1. Open the Cartwheel app

  2. Enter your:

    • Company Name

    • Username

    • Password

  3. Tap Login

📲 First-Time Permissions:

You’ll be prompted to enable the following permissions—make sure all are enabled:

  • Location Services: Always On

  • Background App Refresh: On

💡 NOTE: The app tracks your location only when your visibility toggle is ON. Location services must be “Always On” for proper order tracking.




👀 Going Visible (Clocking In)

After logging in:

  1. Open the menu

  2. Toggle Visibility to ON

You’re now active and ready to receive and accept orders.


📦 Managing Orders

Orders will appear in the New Orders tab. There are two types:

1. Directly Assigned Orders

  • To accept: Swipe right on “Accept Order”

  • To decline: Tap the X button

2. Claimable Orders

  • Available to multiple drivers

  • To claim: Swipe right on “Claim Order”


📍 My Route Tab

Once accepted, your orders move to the My Route tab, where you'll see:

  • A list of delivery stops

  • Routing information

  • Map view of your route

Tap Map to begin navigating.

🛒 Pick-Up Details

  • Tap an individual order to view:

    • Order number

    • Store and customer info

    • Notes or special instructions

  • Tap the phone icon to call/text the restaurant or customer

Once the order is picked up:

  • Swipe right on Complete Pick-Up


🏠 Delivering the Order

At the drop-off:

  1. Tap Upload Pic to upload proof of delivery

    • Best practice: Include door number, address, or front entry

    • Avoid close-ups that only show the bag

  2. Swipe right on Complete Dropoff

The order now moves to the History tab, where you can still upload more photos if needed.


🚚 Multi-Order Routing (Batching)

If assigned multiple orders:

  1. Accept them individually

  2. Go to My Route

  3. The app auto-optimizes your route

  4. Follow in order, marking each as delivered


🔁 Initiate Return

If you’re unable to deliver:

  • Tap Initiate Return

  • Mark the order as uncompleted or returned

  • Leave notes (e.g., customer unreachable)


⚙️ Profile & App Settings

Under the Profile tab, you can:

  • Upload a profile picture

  • View your name, login info, and customer rating

App Settings:

  • Primary Navigation App: Google Maps, Apple Maps, or Waze

  • Return Routing: Prompts return route to store after deliveries

  • Idle Pop-ups: Alerts after 2+ hours of inactivity

  • Report App Issues: Email support@trycartwheel.com
